The Face the Fight Coalition is a national effort led by USAA, Reach Resilience, and The Humana Foundation, with support from the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, that unites organizations nationwide in reducing veteran suicide by sharing resources, breaking stigma, and expanding access to critical support services. The Military Animal Project has joined this important coalition to strengthen veteran suicide prevention efforts.

This partnership aligns with the Military Animal Project’s mission of providing healing and support through animal-assisted programs. By pairing rescue dogs with veterans, equine buddies, and other animal support services al at no cost, the Military Animal Project helps restore purpose, independence, and connection. As part of Face the Fight, the organization will amplify critical conversations and resources that address one of the most urgent challenges facing the veteran community.

“Every veteran we serve reminds us that the need for stronger suicide prevention efforts is urgent and real. By joining the Face the Fight Coalition, the Military Animal Project is adding our voice and our programs to a national movement determined to save lives and strengthen communities,” said Mardu Lydick, Founder and President.

As part of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the Face the Fight Coalition is hosting a Virtual Town Hall Listening Session on Tuesday, October 7 at 11 a.m. PT.
