Celebrating veterans with community, camaraderie, and color in Northern Nevada.
The Military Animal Project is proud to participate in the 2025 Northern Nevada Veterans Block Party & Color Run on September 20. This vibrant, free event is a standout occasion for veterans across the region to connect, heal, and honor their service through community, color, and compassion.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the fun-filled Color Run at 8:00 a.m., which wraps up around 10:00 a.m. Participants including veterans, families, and supporters will enjoy a festive block party atmosphere with music, stories, support resources, and plenty of color.
MAP is honored to bring Certified Therapy Dog Teams to this celebration. These specially trained duos will provide comfort, friendly smiles, and emotional connection to veterans attending the run and the community gathering. It is a perfect opportunity for MAP’s mission to support veterans through animal companionship to shine in a fun, uplifting setting.
